Boeing 737-800 189 Seats

« Back to Fleet

The Boeing 737-800 is the newest aircraft type to be introduced to the Jet2.com fleet.

Based at Manchester Airport, our initial two Boeing 737-800 aircraft were introduced to service on our scheduled network prior to the start of the summer 2011 season. Seating 189 passengers, the aircraft have entered service with Jet2.com's unique, modern and stylish interiors including the unique Acro designed seats which generate higher levels of comfort than most other equivalent aircraft seats.

The Boeing 737-800 is part of the current family of 'New Generation' Boeing 737s which form the bulk of new aircraft rolling off the production line at Boeing's Seattle facilities in the USA. To date, more than 3,600 Boeing 737 NG's are in service worldwide.

The Boeing 737-800 is very different to its cousin the Boeing 737-300, which remains the mainstay of the Jet2.com fleet. The newer type can fly further, more efficiently and quietly than the -300 and has quickly proven extrememly popular with both passengers and crews alike. With a non-stop operating range of six hours, the Boeing 737-800 can operate on any of Jet2.com's current schedule route pairings as well as being very attractive to the charter market, either for regular or one-off charter flights.

A full onboard product can be offered on Boeing 737-800 flights, with hot meal service, bar and duty free on appropriate flights.
