In this day and age where so many airlines come and go, it is good to know that any passenger travelling with Jet2.com is travelling with a carrier that can trace its history back over 35 years and one that has been consistently financially successful over that period.
The Jet2.com ‘brand’ has been in existence since 2002 and began operations from Leeds/Bradford International Airport in February 2003 when the first Boeing 737-300 scheduled flight departed to Amsterdam. The airline has grown rapidly in the period since that momentous occasion. Further route development has taken place consistently, with bases added at Manchester, Newcastle, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Belfast International, Blackpool and East Midlands. In summer 2012 scheduled operations cover 56 destinations both domestically within the U.K and spanning the whole of Europe, with almost five million passengers annually enjoying the Jet2.com experience.
